INAC’s CNC machining center specializes in creating prismatic lens components with fine, intricate shapes. Our manufacturing capabilities enable the production of complex prismatic geometries that are essential for optical and lighting applications.
Material: Polycarbonate (PC)
Polycarbonate is a high-functional plastic, also called super engineering plastic among resins. Its transparency coefficient ranges from 85% to 90%, nearly matching glass. PC exhibits excellent heat resistance, equivalent to about 50 times that of acrylic resin, with heat resistance ranging from 250 to 266°F depending on usage.
Unique Transparency Treatment for Lenses
Although transparent polycarbonate turns cloudy white after the cutting process, INAC has established a unique process to restore it to full transparency. Our proprietary transparency treatment enables polycarbonate prototypes with excellent transparency without requiring manual polishing. Unlike acrylic resin which requires hand polishing to restore transparency after machining, polycarbonate can achieve superior transparency even for fine lens cut shapes that cannot be polished, making it ideal for intricate prismatic lens applications.
Prismatic Shape Capabilities
Fine prismatic shapes can be machined using our CNC machining center. The intricate faceted surfaces characteristic of prismatic lenses require precise tool paths and specialized machining techniques. INAC’s experience in transparent polycarbonate processing allows us to manufacture prismatic lens components that maintain both optical clarity and geometric accuracy.
Applications for Prismatic Lenses
Prismatic lens components manufactured by INAC are suitable for various applications including lens parts for equipment such as headlights, tail lights, light diffusion lens arrays, and other optical components where light manipulation through prismatic surfaces is required.
Low Cost and Short Delivery Time
By providing polycarbonate lens prototypes with excellent transparency without polishing, INAC achieves both low cost and short delivery time for prismatic lens manufacturing. Painting and plating decorations can be applied to polycarbonate lens components according to project specifications.

Liquid casting material is injected into the silicone rubber mold in a vacuum environment.
The silicone mold is cut open into a male and female mold, and the master model is removed.
The master model is fixed to a wooden frame and silicone is poured to create a mold.
